It's the final countdown...

One week from today, possibly around this time, I will have to drive Sean to the hotel he has to stay the night before he ships off to basic training.  It still doesn't feel real.  Even though we spent all day today packing up our apartment in the rain...and unpacking it into a storage unit...in the rain.  The weather was not our friend.  But the giant beach umbrella that we've never used before came in handy, and I got a good arm workout carrying the umbrella back in forth between the truck and the storage unit with my dad or Sean underneath carrying our junk :)  Thanks for the help dad!!

Anywho, we spent the last week in Florida, tying up loose ends, seeing friends and family before Sean heads off, and securing homes for most of our animals.  My fantasical in-laws drove both of our ginormous lizards and Sean's corvette down to FL, and we drove 2 of our cats (NEVER AGAIN) down to stay with our AWESOME friends Jesse and Jessica.  They are all lifesavers!

Some other highlights besides hanging out and eating WAY too much...
-I got to see my BFF Stacey :)  We got our hair done together, then got to ride horses :)  Random combo, but sooo much fun.  It wasn't long enough to see her, but I'll take what I can get.
-We had dinner with Jason & Lucia (our fabulous wedding photog team) and their 3 hilarious kids :)  Then the next day we met with Jason to do a photo shoot!!  We climbed trees, swung on vines, and rode dinosaurs.  You know, just a typical shoot.  I am super excited to see how they turned out!
-On our last day, we had a nice little going away party for Sean :)  It was great having (almost) everyone together before he leaves!

Minus the cat craziness on the drive down, it was a pretty fun trip.  It was good getting to spend so much quality time with Sean, especially since I have to work his last week here :(    Other than work we are just trying to wrap up loose ends and get everything prepared for Sean to ship.
So far so good!!

P.S.  I do have pictures to post, but my computer died so my editing programs are non-existent.  Sad face.

It's almost that time...

Four Sundays from today, I will be driving Sean to the MEPS hotel and saying goodbye.  It still seems so far away, when clearly it isn't.  It's definitely hard not knowing when I'll see him again...but then again the army is full of unknowns (see previous post).  I am ready to get this show on the road!  Bring it :)
