Giving Back

Twice a week (sometimes more), I volunteer at the Rocky Mountain USO, here on Fort Carson.  It's a great way to meet new people and give back to the soldiers.  This past Saturday we had around 600 soldiers and families come in for a free Christmas dinner!  They got to have their faces painted, get caricatures drawn, and of course visit with Santa (complete with gifts and candy canes!)  It was defiantly a bit crazy trying to fit everyone into our little building, but everyone seemed to have a good time :)  Here are a few pictures from the event!

All ready for Santa!

Christmas in Colorado (so far)

Christmas is 2 weeks away!!  Oy.  December has been crazy busy so far, and its only getting crazier!!  MUST FINISH SHOPPING...
Anyways, this is the first year in a while that we've decorated for Christmas, and the first year since Sean and I met that we put up a full size tree!  We were planning on buying a real tree but then my aunt and uncle gave us a fake one so we used that instead :)  So here are a few pics of my favorite ornaments and decorations...
Our cute little tree :)

And now for a few pictures from the 4th CAB Holiday Party this past weekend. Sean planned it and it was a big success!  Plus any party that has a helicopter is pretty cool :P

Trans-Siberian Orchestra!!

The day before our fancy brunch, we FINALLY got to see the amazing Trans-Siberian Orchestra!!  It was pretty much the best show I have ever seen, minus the arena opening 1/2 hour late.  It reminded me of my Sam Ash days and made me miss the live music!!  If you ever get a chance, go see them.  And bring ear plugs if you have sensetive ears :)

Panoramic from our seats

Yeah, I totally want to be one of their back-up singers../

A little blip of the finale...I need a flaming clock in my house.
